Reporting & privacy

Sharing an owner experience

Submit only an experience you can personally describe. Include dates, symptoms and outcomes, and distinguish what you observed from what you suspect. Do not include registration numbers, home addresses, phone numbers or another person’s private information.

What is published

Reports are saved privately for editorial review. If approved, the report title, written account, vehicle details, incident date, city, service experience, outcome and chosen display name can be published. If no display name is supplied, we use “EV owner”. Reports describe individual experiences; review is not an independent technical verification.

What stays private

Your contact email and uploaded photos are available to authorised website reviewers. They are not displayed on public reports. Remove personal details from images before uploading. Images may contain embedded metadata. Your email is used to discuss your report; submission does not subscribe you to marketing.

Storage and cookies

Reports and evidence are stored in the website database. A temporary cookie protects the submission form. A short-lived keyed hash of your network address helps limit repeated submissions; the reporting feature does not store the raw address. The hosting provider may separately keep access and security logs. During the local preview, submissions stay in the local preview database.

Corrections, access and deletion

Email info@team-ev.in using the address associated with your report and quote its EV reference. You can request a correction, a copy of your information or removal. The team may need to verify the request. Reports are retained until removed by the team or following a verified deletion request; backup copies may remain until the hosting backup retention period expires.

Review and moderation

The team may ask for clarification, remove private information, decline a report or withdraw a published report. To dispute or correct a published account, contact the team with the report address and relevant details.

Community accounts

Registration stores your username, display name, email address and a securely hashed password. We send verification and password-reset emails to the address you provide. Your account shows your own reports and privately submitted updates. Only approved updates are added to public reports. Membership does not give permission to edit articles or access another member’s private information.

Sign-in uses essential WordPress authentication cookies. Suspended members cannot log in. To request an account correction or deletion, contact info@team-ev.in from your registered address. Historic guest reports are not automatically assigned to accounts simply because the emails match.
